Immunofluorescence SH-SY-5Y cells were fixed and permeabilized with methanol followed by methanol:acetone. Fixed cells were stained with 2 μg/mL Monoclonal Anti-β-Tubulin, Clone: TUB 2.1 (Cat. No. T5201). The antibody was developed using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG, Cy3 conjugate. Cells were counterstained with DAPI (blue) to stain nuclei.
Immunofluorescence CFB chicken fibroblast cells were fixed and permeabilized with methanol followed by acetone. Fixed cells were stained with 20 μg/mL Monoclonal Anti-β-Tubulin antibody produced in Mouse, clone: TUB 2.1 (Cat. No. T5201). The antibody was developed using Anti-Mouse IgG (Fab specific)-FITC antibody produced in Goat (Cat. No. F5262). Cells were counterstained with DAPI (blue) to stain nuclei.
Immunoblotting Total extract of chicken gizzard was separated on SDS-PAGE and blotted with Monoclonal Anti-β-tubulin (Cat. No. T5201). | General description: | β-Tubulin belongs to the subfamily of tubulin, which is the major building block of microtubules. β-Tubulin has a molecular weight of 55kDa. β-Tubulin structure is characterized with core of two β-sheets enclosed by α-helices. It also contains an N-terminal domain with the guanine nucleotide-binding region, an intermediate domain with taxol-binding site, and a C-terminal domain that contains the binding surface for molecular motor proteins. Human β-tubulin consists of seven isoforms (βI (class I), βI (class II), βIII (class III), βIVa (class IVa), βIVb (class IVb), βV (class V), and βVI (class VI)). |
