Biochem/physiol Actions:	Cholecystokinin Fragment 30-33 Amide also referred to as CCK-4 or Trp-Met-Asp-Phe amide is a peptide fragment derived from peptide hormone cholecystokinin. CCK-4 is a panicogenic agent that induces panic attacks in humans. This property of the compound can be used in scientific research for testing new anxiolytic drugs.CCK-4 acts selectively through CCK-B receptors and is recognized for its role in regulating emotional behaviors. Studies on CCK knock-down mice have indicated anxiolytic- and antidepressant-like effects.
