Biochem/physiol Actions:	The α₁-Mating factor is a pheromone produced by yeast that regulates mating. α₁-Mating Factor acetate salt can be utilized to arrest the G1-phase of the cell cycle in various yeast strains.
Preparation Note:	Alpha1-Mating Factor acetate salt dissolves in water at 1 mg/ml to yield a clear, colorless solution.
