Application: | Dissolve in water to make a 0.1M solution. No pH adjustment is necessary. Guaranteed accuracy: ±0.1 pH units. Tris has a significant temperature coefficient, so select the mixture to give the desired final pH at the desired temperature. From 5 °C to 25 °C, the pH decreases an average of 0.03 pH units per °C. From 25 °C to 37 °C, the pH decreases an average of 0.025 pH units per °C. If a different concentration is desired, note that there is a concentration effect on the pH of the solution. |
Application: | The product is cell culture tested. It is also tested for low endotoxin levels and analyzed for the absence of nucleases and proteases. |
Legal Information: | Trizma is a registered trademark of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany |
Other Notes: | Certain pH electrodes do not give accurate results with Tris buffers. |
Other Notes: | This product is a pre-mixed combination of Trizma base and Trizma HCl that can be used to prepare a common pH value for Tris buffer. |
Packaging: | 100, 250 g in poly bottle |
Preparation Note: | Trizma solutions can be autoclaved. |
