Application:	UCN-01 has been used to study checkpoint kinase-1 (CHK1) protein function in trophoblast stem (TS) cells. It has also been used to study UV-induced CHK1 phosphorylation in IB10 cells.
Biochem/physiol Actions:	UCN-01 is a selective inhibitor for conventional PKC isotypes over novel PKC isotypes.
