Application:	Urotensin II human was used in agonist and antagonist preparation for calcium mobilization assay. The product can also be used as a test compound for studying the impact of dihydropyridine calcium antagonist amlodipine in human internal mammary artery and clinical implications.
Biochem/physiol Actions:	A neuroendocrine peptide of the CRF family that was originally isolated from fish brain but is also found in mammalian brain and spinal motor neurons. It is a potent vasoconstrictor. It may be a mediator of stress-induced anorexia.
Biochem/physiol Actions:	Human urotensin II is a vasoactive neuropeptide that belongs to CRF family and stimulates arterial smooth muscle contraction, actin stress fiber formation and proliferation via small GTPase RhoA and there downstream effector Rho-kinase activation.The product is also a selective and potent vasoconstrictor agent as well as an agonist for the orphan receptor GPR14.
