Biochem/physiol Actions: Phase II metabolite of paracetamol.
General description: Paracetamol is an aminophenol derivative. It functions as an analgesic and antipyretic drug, which has weak inflammatory effect. Paracetamol is used to treat pyrexia and mild to moderate pain. It might inhibit atherosclerosis through its antioxidant activity.
Other Notes: Occasionally, it may be necessary to supply as the sodium salt
