In humans, it is predicted to form trimeric structure with another member of this family, P2X1. Upregulated P2RX5 expression has been observed during CD4+ T cell activation. It has been studied that activated P2RX5 plays an important role in the T cell polarity and immunoregulation, when it is recruited to the surface of the activated CD4+ T cells. |
