It might serve as an important biomarker for eye malformation. The Wnt5a-FZD5 complex is known to support the functions of innate immunity. Fzd5, along with GCM1 (chorion-specific transcription factor), is involved in a feedback mechanism that regulates trophoblast differentiation and chorionic branching in placenta. |
