| General description: | Whatman Puradisc non-sterile syringe filters with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane combine premium quality with economic efficiency. Puradisc syringe filters for routine syringe filtration Puradisc syringe filters cater to a wide variety of sample types and applications, including capillary electrophoresis, biological preparations, protein filtration, and UV spectroscopy sample preparation. Different Puradisc membrane media support diverse chemical solvents and compounds. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) syringe filter options Cytiva′s Puradisc PTFE syringe filter is a hydrophobic membrane that is chemically stable and inert. It exhibits low protein binding, and its main application is filtration of non-aqueous samples. Prior to filtering of aqueous samples, the membrane must be pre-wetted with a water-miscible organic solvent. Puradisc is available in the following membrane materials: regenerated cellulose (RC), cellulose nitrate, nylon, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyethersulfone (PES), polypropylene, polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF), and cellulose acetate. |
| General description: | Whatman ReZist in-line disk filters from Cytiva are lightweight devices suitable for venting, in-line filtration, and isolation applications when working with chemically harsh solvents. ReZist in-line filters are part of the Whatman in-line filtration range from Cytiva business. Browse the Whatman range to find the right in-line filter for your application. This device features a PTFE venting membrane, which is well suited for chemically aggressive solutions, reagents, and organic solvents. The 1 µm device features a polypropylene prefilter for use with heavily contaminated samples, increasing the life span of the final membrane. |
