| General description: | Ascentis® Express 2μm Phenyl-Hexyl UHPLC columns are based on a 90 Å Fused-Core® particle design. The Fused-Core particle provides a thin porous shell of high-purity silica surrounding a solid silica core. This particle design exhibits very high column efficiency due to the shallow diffusion paths in the 0.4-micron thick porous shell and the small overall particle size of 2-microns. The bonded, endcapped, dimethylphenylhexyl stationary phase of Ascentis Express 2μm Phenyl-Hexyl provides a stable, reversed phase packing with enhanced p-p and mild steric interactions due to the relatively long-chain hexyl linkage to the base silica. Ascentis Express 2μm Phenyl-Hexyl can be used for basic, acidic, or neutral compounds with alternate selectivity from C18. |
