The pore volume can be accessed by polymers ranging in molecular weight from 500 to 8,000,000 Da. By quickly categorizing the MW profile of an unknown sample, the column enables a fast selection of the best TSKgel PW column for routine analysis. Mixed bed columns are also used when a sample has a very broad MW distribution. |
